What can you expect?



After hacking for 24 hours, you will present your prototype in front of top investors and juries on our main stage. They will analyze your problem-solving ability and technical execution of your MVP.

What is so special about it?

We give you the chance to change the world by building applications that truly matter! You will also have the opportunity to get in touch with our awesome partners, slip into their shoes and solve real-world challenges using their API and expertise.

What will be the challenge?

Our partner will present challenging cases and problems they face to you and you will have 24 hours to master one of them as a team. So stay tuned for the partner pitching session at our hackathon!

Why do I have to pay for a hackathon?

Taking part at the Hackathon includes a ticket for the Startup Conference where you can enjoy speeches from unicorn founders, free food & drinks and the famous party boat. As the hackathon is an essential part of IdeaLab!, it is mandatory to get a ticket.

How shoud I prepare?

Bring your laptop and charger, comfortable clothes and an incredible motivation to hack.

Can I work on my hack before the event?

No. To maintain competition integrity and fairness, all work on your hack must be done at the event. All projects with prior work done will be eliminated from judging. However, you are encouraged to touch-up on your skills or bring any hardware in preparation for the event.

What is included in the tickets?

There is one ticket only for the hackathon and one ticket for both, the hackathon and IdeaLab, the startup conference, which will start one day after. Plus, you will get free catering and accomodation (provided by WHU students)

How can I get to the location?

You can check the fastest way here or shoot us a message info@businessmeetstech.de. Also, there’s a train station in Vallendar.

Can I arrive one day before?

Sure! You get accomodation for the night from Tuesday to Wednesday as well if you arrive sooner. We will organise an informal get-together for that evening as well!

Is there any code of conduct?

Yes. We follow MLH’s code of conduct, which all attendees, partners, volunteers, and staff are required to agree to. We expect all of our attendees to be respectful and considerate of others.
